More Details
For those who value authenticity and experience over status, there's Champagne Domaine Mallet. This young, unconventional champagne house in the Marne Valley does things differently. No stiff etiquette, no unnecessary frills – just powerful champagnes with character, made for those who know what they want.
No Standard Vineyards, No Standard Approach
With 8 hectares of vineyards on clay-limestone soil, Domaine Mallet crafts champagnes that stand for something. Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, and Chardonnay are given the space to express what the soil has to offer—without gimmicks. The HVE and VDC certifications aren't just a sticker on the bottle, but a logical consequence of their philosophy: if you do something well, you don't have to hide it.
Alexandre Mallet, at the helm since 2019, understands that his generation doesn't need overblown narratives. His Brut Nature vintages are proof of that: transparent, raw, and exactly as champagne was meant to be.
Different Champagne, Different Experience
For those tired of standard tastings in dusty cellars, Domaine Mallet has something different in store. The estate is open six days a week, but don't expect a typical tour.
● Tastings: Visitors can enjoy tastings of different champagnes in the traditional chalk cellar.
● Jeep Tours: Adventurous excursions with 4x4 vehicles through the vineyards, often combined with tastings among the vines.
● VIP visits: For a more comprehensive experience, exclusive tours include a visit to the estate and vineyards, with tastings of multiple champagnes.
