Champagne Odyssée – 319 villages, one mission
Olivier Bonville and Ferdinand Ruelle are two passionate craftsmen from Avize who, with Champagne Odyssée, celebrate the magic of Chardonnay and the character of the Champagne region. They know every hillside, every patch of chalky soil, and every grape cluster of the Côte des Blancs—and you can taste it in their wines.
From a former horse stable, which they've transformed into a modern wine cellar, in the heart of the Grand Cru village of Avize, they craft champagnes just the way they envision them: pure, precise, and expressive. Always 100% Chardonnay, vinified in steel and oak, and with complete attention to the terroir. No mass production, but small-scale cuvées with soul.
What makes Odyssée truly special? Their project, Odyssée 319. Every year, Olivier and Ferdinand choose a different village from the 319 Champagne communes and collaborate with a local winemaker. They purchase grapes from a carefully selected vineyard, bring them to Avize, and create a unique cuvée in their own way. This creates a limited-time, one-off champagne that captures the character of that village. A kind of road trip through the region, but in a bottle.
Champagne Odyssée is for those who want to look beyond the established names. For enthusiasts who value the story behind the bottle. Who want to taste where a wine comes from – and exactly why it tastes the way it does. Authentic, transparent, and full of adventure.
